News & Wins

June 2019

June of 2019 was a good month for the clients of The Law Office of Carl M. Ward. My job as a criminal defense lawyer is to zealously defend my clients, the US Constitution, including our Bill of Rights, and to make sure law enforcement officers follow their training. I am also charged with the duty to keeping law enforcement officers honest. Fortunately, after three plus decades of practicing law, I can tell you that the vast majority of the cops I have grilled on the stand are honest, and try to do a good job. What seems ironic to many of my friends is that some of the same cops I have “grilled” on the witness stand are also now my close personal friends. That’s because we share a mutual respect of each other because of our total dedication to our professions.

I also want you to know that I since the year 2004, I have helped train municipal, county and state law enforcement officers, on my own time, without compensation, to help them understand that like me, their job is to protect the Constitution and give 100 percent when conducting a DWI investigation and deciding whether or not to arrest and charge a citizen for DWI. As a result, I sleep very well at night, and can report the following outcomes of my cases, comfortable in the knowledge that I fulfilled my ethical obligations as a lawyer, and defended our Constitution with all of my ability.
